The REACHES initiative promotes the values of Responsibility, Empathy, Assertion, Cooperation, Honesty, Excellence, and Self-Control. COJOWA has focused on making REACHES a whole school program from Preschool to Grade 12 that promotes positive behavior expectations centered on values. Furthermore, the school employs a number of well established programs that are aligned and support our values program that include 7 Mindsets (SEL), Positive Discipline, Second Step, VIDA, STEP, Consentidos, and Protege Tu Corazón. Other actions include establishing feedback loops from various stakeholder groups and a full-time Values Coordinator.
Our actions represent COJOWA’s commitment to a school culture based on values, positive behavior, and the personal development of our students that ultimately enables a positive environment for learning where students can be both happy and safe.
