The REACHES initiative promotes the values of Responsibility, Empathy, Assertion, Cooperation, Honesty, Excellence, and Self-Control. COJOWA has focused on making REACHES a whole school program from Preschool to Grade 12 that promotes positive behavior expectations centered on values. Furthermore, the school employs a number of well established programs that are aligned and support our values program that include Second Step, VYDA, STEP, Consentidos, and Protege Tu Corazón. Other actions include establishing feedback loops from various stakeholder groups; affiliation to Red PaPaz; and a full-time Values Coordinator.
Our actions represent COJOWA’s commitment to a school culture based on values, positive behavior, and the personal development of our students that ultimately enables a positive environment for learning where students can be both happy and safe.
