COJOWA’s Library and Media Center seeks to provide a quality education to all students. We encourage an environment that supports the curriculum, promotes reading programs, the love for books, and encourages lifelong reading.
Our K-12 library offers a wide variety of resources to students, teachers, staff, and parents. Our library is home to more than 20,000 books in Spanish and English, including reference, videos, magazines, and maps. We also have an annual subscription to online EBSCO databases (online magazines and newspapers) and a set of Ipads for student and teacher use.
We want to improve and maintain the responsibility of the students and teachers through clear policies in order to offer a good service to all the COJOWA community.

Library loans: Students and teachers may refer to and use the different resources while visiting the Library.
Students, teachers, and current school parents can check-out resources such as books, magazines, etc.. on a daily or weekly basis (see each section, EL, MS, HS, and teachers, for specific details).
Current school parents who are interested in checking out books may do so. We will create a username for them in order to have access and use our Library collection.
Teachers can reserve and check-out sets of books on specific topics to use in the classrooms or the Library.
Through weekly classes, Elementary students receive instruction in English. The Library teacher focuses on library and reading skills.
Students are motivated to read by having access to the RAZ Kids and Tumblebooks.
The Library supports MS and HS classes by providing a wide variety of resources that are useful to enhance student learning in different subject areas. Special collections of books can be reserved for your student’s assignments.
The Library has two audiovisual rooms equipped with AppleTV, video beam, and sound system. That are open to be reserved for staff/students/admin meetings, conferences, and training sessions.
The Library has two classrooms, one for the Elementary students and one for SSL Elementary students.
